SHUTTER SNAPS | Islas de Gigantes and Roxas City Panoramic Shots

Enroute to Gigantes Group of Island. At Estancia Port.
I only see those postcard perfect shots of Gigantes Group Islands on travel blogs, online search engines and tourism posters of DOT when I had my Iloilo Trip last year prior to Dinagyang Festival. So when, a travel blogger Sir Mike of Travelling Panda posted an invitation going to Gigantes, with no doubt at all, I joined the event and searched right away a flight bound to Panay Island. It was month of June when I got a sure slot to the event as I already booked a flight to Kalibo International Airport. Yes, you read it right. My flight is bound to Kalibo. Me too was also wondering why I chose that route. It might have due to excitement that I forgot to check the easiest route.

Time fly so fast and after the quick 8 months, this dream destination finally materialized. This must be a good start up to welcome my summer. And what I saw with my very eyes was just an amazing piece of nature and seems surreal. Here's the collection of panoramic photos I captured in that entire travel escapes. Mabubusog ang inyong mga mata tiyak!

Pandan Grande Island | Amazed by Gentle Pawikans

SABLAYAN, Occidental Mindoro -- It was a fine morning when our outdoor group's summer getaway officially began. We proceeded to our first destination which is Pandan Grande Island. But before that, our excitement was hung for few minutes because my companion has to buy goods for our consumption and all we will be needing in the entire trip. That took for only a half-hour and then we were enroute to the island.

I joined the first batch who came a day ahead. Kahit na humabol lang ako Hehehe! Naiwan kasi ng bus. While the other group came the next day. We tagged them the Sablay-an group. Peace! Hahaha!

Little did we know that just from first destination will be one of the highlight of our adventure.

Alibijaban Series [Post 1] : Journey of Uncertainty

Now, I believe that bests were really saved for last....

Never thought that my supposedly Mt. Batulao climb would turned into spontaneous trip 10 hours ride from the Metro, a place not so popular to everyone and yet a paradise island that needs to be discovered. My fears and worries in traveling alone was eased by the warmest people I've met in this travel escape.

Sumilon Light House

The Philippines is consider as one of the largest archipelago in the world that is composed of 7,107 islands (said to be more during low tide). And due to archipelagic location, sea navigation is the major transport system in the country to transfer its citizen from island to island. Thus, it houses numerous harbours to cater the local and foreign mariners.

Aside from harbours and ports, our country has numbers of lighthouses that served as navigation aid for maritime pilots and its sea farer most likely during the early times. But due to modernization and high expense to its maintenance, the operation of lighthouses has declined and started to become a dilapidated stone and historical landmark.

Our trip in Cebu gave me the chance to visit one of the province's light house. And for farola enthusiast out there, Cebu must be a drop by in your trip and be awed by its lighthouses.

Lies on the southern Cebu is the town of Oslob. It houses the verdant island of Sumilon. Not known to travellers and backpackers, aside  from Blue Water Resort, Sumilon has its well kept secret attraction--the lighthouse and Baluarte.

Maniwaya Island: Marinduque Holy Week Getaway Day 3

Maniwaya Island

Visiting Marinduque shall include your IT of island hopping. Surrounded by bodies of water, the province is blessed with number of islands with powdery and white sand beaches and clear blue water. One of these, is Maniwaya Island. Located in town of Santa Cruz, you reach it through 30-45 minutes boat ride from Buyaod Port. Actually, there are 2 other islands namely Polo, Mongpong but Maniwaya has the best to offer for beach experience.
